The Story of ELAZ
In December 2023, 28 dedicated young figure skaters from Zug faced a sudden challenge—they could no longer train locally with their trusted and beloved coaches. Yet, instead of giving up, parents and coaches rallied together. For six months, they rented ice in neighboring cantons, juggling schedules and enduring long commutes—all to ensure the skaters could continue pursuing their passion for figure skating.
By fall 2024, it was clear that a long-term solution was needed. This shared determination gave rise to ELAZ – Eislauf Akademie Zug. ELAZ was founded to provide a home for skaters to grow, train, and thrive locally. With certified, passionate coaches, ELAZ empowers every skater—whether aiming for competitive glory or simply cherishing the art of figure skating—to train and flourish close to home.
Our mission is simple: to provide every figure skater, regardless of age or skill level, the opportunity to grow, excel, and achieve their goals in this incredible sport. Join us in transforming challenges into successes and making dreams a reality—right here in Zug.
